In what seems an avalanche of old groups and acts getting together, "The Police" have joined the ranks of those reuniting. On Monday the trio announced that they are getting back together for a reunion world tour in May. It's been over 20 years since Sting left the group to fly solo.
The group got together for a performance at the Grammy's to get people thinking about them again. They performed their hit "Roxanne" at the beginning of the "Awards" show.
The tour will launch in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 28 with Sting, who is now 55, guitarist Andy Summers, 64, and drummer Stewart Copeland, 54.
Only the North American dates are confirmed at this time, although the band has plans to perform in Mexico, South American, Europe, New Zealand, Japan and Australia.
