It looks like Top Chef fans will be happy, as the season finale drew a show record 3.9 million viewers in the 10 to 11 p.m. slot for Bravo, virtually guaranteeing they'll get more of their culinary competition next season.
According to Nielsen Media Research, this made it the top cable show for the night, increasing its numbers for last year's season finale by 157 percent.
For the duration of the show the audience averaged 2.88 million for the 18-49 demo, surging by 185 percent over last year's final as well.
In other good news for Bravo and NBC Universal (GE), the interior decorating competition Top Design, following "Chef," became the highest-performing premiere for the network with an average of 1.77 million overall viewers and in the key demo they finished with a soli 1.32 million.
For the month of January, the network averaged 636,000 nightly viewers with 374,000 from the 18-49 age group. That increased by 38 percent and 44 percent respectively.
