
While a growing number of people like to consume their media on various devices or platforms, a new report by Nielsen shows that it won't have any dampening effect upon the number of U.S. homes with TV set in them, as they project that they'll grow 47 percent by 2050.
In just a few short years, the report says that U.S. TV households will number around 111.4 million by 2010. When 2050 comes around, it will surge to be about 163.7 million. Overall viewership has the potential to reach from 283.5 million in 2010 to 396.3 million by 2050.
According to the report, Hispanic TV homes will increase by a whopping 167 percent from 11.6 million in 2010 to 31 million by 2050, reaching over 94 million individuals
For the African-American population, there will be a jump from 13.5 million in 2010 to 22.4 million by 2050, taking in 56.5 million total.
Asian TV households will also increase significantly as they grow from 4.4 million in 2010 to 11.6 million in 2050, including 34.8 million people overall.
