After someone left an entry saying that Sinbad had died of a heart attack in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, it was spread all around the web as fact.

The gossip seemingly died down, but people thinking that he had died again, started calling, text messaging and sending him emails by the hundreds.

In a phone interview with the AP, Sinbad said, "Saturday I rose from the dead and then died again."

In response to the vandalism the Wikipedia page has been temporarily protected from anyone accessing it. Calls to Wikipedia weren't returned. The site has over 1.6 million articles on it, most entered from anyone who wants to put something up on it.

When asked if it bothered him at all, he answered that "It's gonna be more commonplace as the Internet opens up more and more. It's not that strange."

Sinbad is currently on the road doing stand up.
