Are Radical Liberal Leftist Groups Dictating Democratic Policy and Direction?
With the recent full retreat by the democrats and John Edwards from a scheduled debate that was going to be co-hosted by Fox in August, it seems that the Democrats are in disarray and on the run.
Harry Reid Democratic senator tried to explain that Fox had been chosen to offer audience's that tend to lean right an opportunity to hear their message.
But when when fringe groups and radicals decided they didn't like what they heard, they got an online petition going that allegedly gathered 265,000 signatures. Once the Democrats heard from these "radical, fringe, out-of-state interest groups," they immediately took heed to them and refused to participate.
Evidently the spokesman for the Democratic Party, Eli Pariser, an executive director of MoveOn.org - a leftist fringe group - said that it should "'set a precedent for all Democrats' in their dealings with Fox News." I wonder if Democrats will publicly endorse and embrace Eli's commands?
With both parties knowing they need more moderate voters to have any chance at winning the White House, this is a strange way for the Democrats to appeal to us.
Some Democrats were extemely disturbed by what happened and the possiblity of creating a war with Rupert Murdoch. It's the fault of the Democrat's themselves for listening to these far left groups. How are they going to explain this to those of us who are waiting to make our decisions. We've heard who they've decided to listen to, now we need to hear it explained.
