For those who may not know it, "My Sassy Girl" is one of the all-time favorite South Korean movies. It's a romantic comedy about a chance encounter between a young man and woman. In spite of being complete opposites, they end up falling in love.
Chosen to star as the lead female role of the totally messed up Jordan Roark is Elisha Cuthbert who among other things played Kim Bauer on "24."
When asked by MTV Canada what the film is about Cuthbert replied:
"It's a funny and beautiful romantic comedy bout two people finding each other and being almost polar opposites, but somehow falling in love despite all of that. There are so many elements to it. There's comedy, there's serious moments, emotional moments and also really enchanting moments where we go into this crazy world of fantasy and make believe and kind of bring it all together. It's really great."
Cuthbert added that if she would have been asked to do this kind of comedy earlier in her career, she probably wouldn't have been able to do it. At this time she said that she feels very comfortable with this type of role.
The film is scheduled for release in the fall of 2007.
