Keeping their "American Idol" and "Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" together for another night, Fox (NWS-A) at least has shown that they are smarter than the other networks, as they came up big again for the third straight night, with nobody else even close.
The combination forced their competitors ABC (DIS) and CBS (CBS) to offer reruns of previous shows of "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI."
"American Idol" was down a little, but still strong at 10.5/26. This was in comparison to the 12.2/30 on Tuesday and an 11.9/30 on Wednesday.
Fox scored a 9.9/24 for the night, a little off of their previous two nights but still more than enough to handily defeat all comers.
CBS was able to squeeze in a second place finish for the night with a 4.2/11 with their rerun of "CSI," which beat the "Grey's Anatomy" rerun 4.4/10 to 4.0/9. CBS
finished at 4.2/11 for the overall night.
ABC took third, far behind with 2.9/7.5. They also offered a rerun of "Ugly Betty" at 8 p.m.
For NBC (GE) they ended up at 2.8/7. Their best showing was "Scrubs" which ended up with 3.3/8.
