Maybe the second time around Heather Locklear will be successful in comedy, as she's reunited with ABC (DIS) again to star in the new TV series "See Jayne Run." It's a balance your career, mother type of show.
Last year she also tried scripted comedy with taking the lead in "Women of a Certain Age." That pilot went nowhere.
With ABC having such a recent dismal record for comedy, it's Locklear that seems to be taking more of a chance here. But then again, being 45 in Hollywood isn't always the easiest thing to work with. So at least she's pushing and landing roles behind the scenes, which shows she's working hard to get her gigs.
For ABC and comedy, this year has been a disaster again as far as half-hour comedies go. They've done better with their hourlong offerings such as Men in Trees and Ugly Betty.
Hopefully for Lockyear this will fly, as it's been a while since she's scored a hit. She has of course done well in the past with T.J. Hooker, Dynasty and Spin City.
