
Who says people don't want to watch a commercial? Just ask NBC (GE) about the results they received when they offered the Spidey 3 preview on the show this week.
Putting the Spider-Man 3 trailer together with "Heroes" seems like a no-brainer as Valerie Van Galder, president of marketing for the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group said, it was an easy fit and "a natural" match.
She added that with both "Heroes" and the Spider-Man trailer being cliffhangers, "It was a happy confluence of events. We had the perfect footage and they had the perfect opportunity."
According to Ted Frank it was a "win-win" for everyone as "'Heroes' posted some of its highest ratings of the season this week. It's a combination of the fact we had a big `Heroes' episode we had been building for weeks and the fact we had a big `Spider-Man' preview."
In another move that is sure to be a hit, a trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" will be premiered during "Dancing with the Stars" season debut on March 19. It will be also be offered in 61 other countries at the same time.
