
A legal battle has broken out between the two producers of "Capote" and includes Infinity Features Entertainment. Michael Ohoven filed the suit against another producer, William Vince claiming that the didn't fairly distribute the profits from "Capote." Ohoven also claims that Vince transferred Ohoven's 40 percent stake in Infinity to himself.
The suit which was filed in Canadian British Columbia Supreme Court, says that the two originally agreed to a 60-40 distribution of the revenue so they could get a more favorable Canadian tax credit.
Ohoven also says that then Vince to his 40 percent and then transferred that to himself without Ohoven knowing it at been done. He is now seeking to get 50 percent of all revenue from both "Capote" and Infinity films; not only from past revenue, but from future as well.
"Capote" itself grossed around $49 million worldwide, while being nominated for five academy awards. Philip Seymour Hoffman won the Oscar for the best actor.
Vince had no comment on when asked for a response.
