In what Universal is calling "a hysterical, almost unimaginable adventure," they've announced that they're adding a new attraction to their theme parks in Hollywood and Orlando which will feature the Simpsons.
The ride will be placed in the former location of Back to the Future: The Ride at both parks. The Simpson's ride is set to launch in the spring of 2008.
A high-speed tour of Springfield's Krusty Land will be the focus of the fun. The voices of the original actors will be connected to the characters that pop up along the way on the many turns and bumps of the ride.
"The ride is designed to duplicate the Simpsons home-viewing experience, only at high speed and with lots of screaming," creator Matt Groening said in a statement.
Along with the ride, Universal will add Simpson-based costumed characters walking around the park, and a bevy of Simpson souvenirs.
The Simpsons will begin their 18th season with the airing of their 400th episode on May 20.
