The combination of "American Idol" and "House" keeps rolling over its competition as the duo combined to lead Fox (NWS-A) to another Tuesday night dominating win for the network.
What is probably a little scary for the competition is that "House" continues to grow, drawing almost the same amount of viewers in the 18-49 key demo as "American Idol." For that demo, "American Idol" finished with a 8.5 rating, while "House" ended up with an 8.4. For all viewers "House" finished at 9.1/22 while "Idol" came in at 9.9/27.
For the overall night, Fox finished with 9.5/25, nobody else was even close.
The closest competitor was ABC (DIS), which was far behind with a 3.1/8. Their best performer was "Dancing with the Stars," which brought a 4.1/10 in the 9 p.m. slot in 18-49.
For CBS (CBS-A) it was worse as they were only able to garner a 2.2/6. They only offered their usual repeats. Their best show was "NCIS," which took in 2.4/7.
NBC (GE) continues to underperform as Univision beat them out to take the fourth position for the night with a 1.9/5. All NBC was able to do was a 1.8/5.
CW came in fifth, but scored well in their targeted demo 18-34, with an original episoded of "Gilmore Girls" bringing in a 2.0/6 in the 18-34 group. That was better than everybody but Fox.
