The final nine episodes of The Sopranos is about to start on Sunday, and fans are eaqerly awaiting what the outcome of the eight years and six seasons of the series will bring.
Of course the big question concerns Tony and what the end of the series will mean for the don.
The last of the series opens with just this question being offered as he is celebrating his birthday with his wife and family members. At the same time all his enemies are looking for ways to take him down; from the feds to rival mob boss Phil Leotardo.
Who will succeed him, depending on what happens in the storyline, is a secondary question lingering in the background.
Even though the show is still thought to be one of the best television dramas, there seems to be some Soprano fatique as ratings have dropped for the last couple of seasons. The height of the ratings fro the series was during its fourth season where it reached an average of 11 million viewers. Last season it dropped to around an average of 8.5 million - still pretty good numbers.
It will be interesting to see if past viewers will tune in for the last weeks of the show to see the fate of the various characters in the show.
