
CBS (CBS-A) offered up an original programming night and rode it to a strong victory as they won the Thursday night ratings battle handily.
The network finished with an average 5.0 rating/15 share for the night with the key 18-49 demo. All their shows won their time periods, "Survivor: Fiji," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "Shark." "CSI" was the top show of the night with a 6.7/18 showing.
Fox (NWS-A) finished a solid second on the strenghth of their new popular reality show starring Jeff Foxworthy, "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" which was the networks' biggest winner with a 3.5/11.
A distant 3rd was ABC (DIS) with a 2.6/8, which had its best show for the night, a repeat of "Grey's Anatomy" finish at 3.1/9. "October Road" came in right behind "Grey's" with a 3/9.
The Peacock (GE) continues to struggle as it also put up original shows but can't seem to get anything going. The strongest offering for the night was "The Office," which took in a 3.2/10. "30 Rock" didn't do anything again as it was only able to garner a 2.5/7 for its odd time period of 8:43 p.m. to 9:23 p.m.
