Variety reported that Leonardo DiCaprio is in the early stages of talks to star in an upcoming Warner Bros.' project based upon the David Ignatius novel, "Body of Lies."
While negotiations are going on, it does look good that the deal will go through as DiCaprio has already made room in his schedule for the shoot. It is set for production after his work with former "Titanic" co-star Kate Winslet on "Revolutionary Road."
This story is based upon the role of a former journalist who is now a CIA agent sent to Amman to search for an Al Qaeda leader who is thought to be making plans for an attack upon America.
Directing the film will be Ridley Scott and scripting it will be William Monahan who has worked with DiCaprio on "The Departed," which he won an Oscar for.
Monahan has worked with Scott before also, writing "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Tripoli."
