Don Imus' Executive Producer Bernard McGuirk Fired

While the executive producer of the show had been obviously missing from "Imus in the Morning," he was conspicuously absent from the airwaves this week.

We've now found out why as Bernard McGuirk was fired.

A lot of people either don't know or forgot about it, but McGuirk is actually the one that started the interaction going that led to the major controversy.

According to Eonline, he not only called the Rutgers players "hardcore ho's," but he also said that the matchup between the two losing teams, Rutgers versus University of Tennessee's Lady Vols as "the jigaboos versus the wannabes." Odd that it hasn't come out in the conversation.

Of course the firing was a pre-emptive strike against when people began reviewing Bernard%20McQuirk.jpgthe overall episode and find that information as well.

During the week WFAN-AM personalities Mike Francesa and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo have been filling in, with usual participants Charles McCord and Chris Carlin working with them.

I have a question if someone know would you please email me at mbert@gwi.net? Thanks.
What program and when is Charles McCord on WFAN? Does he do news as he did on the IMUS show? Is he full time? Any diciplinary action expected on Charles? I always liked him and thought he was an excellent news announcer, one that could very well be an anchor for a major news network and I hope that this incident didn't hamper his ability to move up with a large Network. I think he always agreed with his boss IMUS, but I never heard him start anything like Bernie did that was improper. Also Chris Carlin, Rob Bartlett and the other cast memebers? Are they still on the air on WFAN?
IF You know the answers to my question, I'd be very grateful for any information you may have. Thanks
