Saying that "It was the only decision we could reach," NBC News president Steve Capus said the network has dropped the controversial Don Imus after remarks he made concerning the predominantly black Rutgers University women's basketball team, calling them "nappy-headed hos."
"Effective immediately, MSNBC will no longer simulcast the 'Imus in the Morning' radio program," MSNBC said in a statement.
Major advertisers have pulled out as sponsors fo the show as well with Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) and Staples Inc. (SPLS), already having pulled out and General Motors Corp. (GM), GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK) and Ditech.com announcing that they will be also.
That leaves the mounting pressure on CBS Radio to decide on whether they will keep Imus on or not. They said that they haven't made the decision yet.

I think Don Imus deserves to be rehired. He has done a lot of good. CBS can show a bit of a forgiving nature.
