
While ABC (DIS) and CBS (CBS-A) may have gotten off to quick starts to begin the sweep season, there is no doubt in the 18-49 key demo, Fox (NWS-A) will win for the month.
It will be an interesting battle between ABC and CBS for the second place spot, as ABC is showing some strength and is pushing hard as things kick off.
After the first three nights of the sweep, ABC has move a little ahead of CBS in 18-49. In the 25-54, CBS has the lead so far.
ABC is up by 152 percent over last year's opening, while CBS is down by 28 percent. With their big shows coming up, Fox has to be happy that they are up by 17 percent over last year's numbers.
With the victory that ABC had over CBS on Thursday, it marks the first time in fifteen years that the network has opened in the lead.
After the first three nights, ABC was in the lead with a 2.9/9 against CBS' 2.8/9. Fox was third with 2.1/7 and NBC (GE) lingered in fourth with 2.0/6. CBS led everyone with overall viewers. The sweep season ends on May 23.
