The U.S. Figure Skating championships have found a home for the next three years as they signed a deal with NBC to cover the championships.
Included with the deal will be the prime-time coverage of the Saturday night women's free skate, considered by most the largest audience draw of the sport.
The details of the agreement are that it will entail 10 hours of coverage, which will also include Skate America, an international competition.
With the partnership, the coverage will last through the Winter Olympic Games in 2010, also covered by the Peacock.
Another part of the deal was that the usual format of the championship was adapted to TV, and all the finals will be live and aired on the weekends.
