
The History Channel has announced in a press release some of its upcoming specials for the fourth quarter of 2007 and during 2008.
For the fourth quarter of 2007 they will offer up Manhunt, Stalking Jihad, Global Warming and the Lost Book of Nostradamus.
Manhunt is about the assembling of 10,000 federal troops to hunt down John Wilkes Booth and his co-conspirator, David Herold for killing President Abraham Lincoln.
Stalking Jihad is an amazing look at how U.S. intelligence tracks terrorists.
The Lost Book of Nostradamus is a glimpse into a manuscript that may have been written by Nostradamus was discovered in Italy's National Library in Rome by an Italian journalist who accidently found it. It talks about a number of prophecies that have never been deciphered.

In 2008 the channel will look at the Egypt Project, which will delve into the son of paharaoh Khufu. Khufu had built the great pyramids. His son, Radjedef, may have had discoveries about him that may be considered the greatest since King Tut's tomb in 1923.
Also in 2008 will be the premiere of China's First Emperor, which digs into the story of Chin Shihuang, the press release says: "who commanded an army larger than Napoleon's, conquered more territory than Alexander the Great; created a realm that outlasted the Roman Empire; and built the Great Wall that still stands today."
Nancy Dubuc, Executive Vice President and General Manager of The History Channel added that "Each one of these new specials will offer something that is sure to blow the lid off the conventional wisdom on subjects that are universally fascinating.
