The Will Ferrell/Jon Heder sports comedy "Blades of Glory" topped the weekend box office for the second straight week as it took in another $23 million, which brings the overall total to $68.4 million.
Disney's "Meet the Robinsons" finished second, drawing a solid $17 million to take its total to $52.2 million. It averaged almost $5,000 per screen while dropping 32 percent from last week.
"Are We Done Yet?" came in a surprising third place for the weekend taking in $15 million. It may do well over the course of its release if it performs like the first film, as it only dropped a tiny 12 percent the second time around, and stuck around for quite a long time.
I'm not sure why anybody would have thought the following movie "Grindhouse" would do any good over the weekend, but a lot of people picked it to be number one. All that shows is that a lot of the people writing have to be young males who would think of something like this as interesting. The film came in fourth with a small $11.6 million. More than it deserved as far as I'm concerned.
Another surprise that keeps happening is the strength of "Wild Hogs," which finished seventh, earning another $6.8 million in its sixth weekend, dropping only 21 percent from last week. It's already performed far beyond expectations, bringing in a total of $145.4 million so far.
