Having known and worked with Don Granger before, as well as on the first two films of the revived United Artist brand, Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner tapped him to head up overall production for the company.
"UA has always been a home for signature films and original stories, so we're trying to stay true to that legacy," said Granger.
He is now overseeing the first two films offered by the new United Artists - "Lions for Lambs" and "Valkyrie."
Granger comes with an impressive resume having worked with films like "Mission: Impossible," "Star Trek," "Tomb Raider," "Kiss the Girls," "Along Came a Spider" and "Saving Private Ryan," among numerous others.
"Tom and I have a long history with Don Granger, and we've always valued his great filmmaker relationships, his terrific taste in material and the tremendous intelligence he brings to development and production," Wagner said. "He's been an integral part of our team for many years now, and we are delighted that our association is continuing at UA."
