Sports and comedy continues to be a strong combination for Will Ferrell, and that is a part of his upcoming sports comedy called "Semi-Pro," which has been filming in Los Angeles since the middle of February and is now moving to Michigan.
The project is looking to hire another 500 extras for the shoot, said Wendy Washbrook casting director for the Michigan locations. "Just normal people who want to come and work with us and dress in 1970s costumes, or wear a wig and sideburns."
Also in the film will be Will Arnett, Maura Tierney, Woody Harrelson, André Benjamin and Josh Braaten, among others.
Scripting the story was Scot Armstrong and directing is Kent Alterman.
The movie is a comedy centered around Jackie Moon (Ferrell), the owner-coach-player of the American Baketball Association's Flint Michigan Tropics, who is encouraging and motivating his players to become part of the NBA and make their dreams come true.
