When the Sci Fi channel announced that it would be offering 22 episodes of "Battlestar Gallactica" next season, instade of 13, the rumors almost immediately started that it would be the last season for the Cylon, Human Race battle.
Then when "Battlestar" star Edward James Olmos said at the Saturn Awards last week that it would definitely be the series' last year, the rumors exploded.
But executive producer David Eick calmed things down and ended the rumors quickly as he released a statement saying, "For those of you have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end. I promise you that when [executive producer] Ron [Moore] and I make a decision about 'Galactica's' future, we'll let you know."
While the statement ended the rumor that the show would be ending, it didn't say that the show would go on either. It seems what is being said is a decision hasn't been made yet. For me I hope the show goes on, it's one of my personal favorites.
