Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, says that she wants her new TV show "Bindi: The Jungle Girl" to continue the conservation and educational work of her father
At the Australian launch of the new show, Bindi said, "I'm proud to be showing kids that conservation and helping wildlife is a stack of fun. It's just the most amazing thing that we could ever do."
The show will include shots of Steve Irwin before he was killed by the stingray.
Her mother Terri said concerning the project that "Bindi's been filming with us since she first hatched. It was a natural progression to be doing her own shows,
and Steve was involved with the first seven episodes."
In the United States the show will premiere on the Discovery Kids Channel June 9.
There is also a special hosted by Bindi called "My Daddy the Croc Hunter," scheduled for June 8 on the Animal Planet.
