In a dance that is familiar when considering China's response to entertainers performing in the country, Christina Aguilera wasn't going to be allowed to perform in the country. The reason given was her performance was "too sexy."
Now in another turnaround, the Chinese government has approved of an upcoming concert on June 26, 2007 in Shanghai.
As one source said, "Not every foreign artist has the luck to win Beijing's approval and Christina's sexy performance was once a concern when applying to the regulators."
After some consideration by government leaders in Beijing, they finally approved of the performance.
Who knows if this is where it will end, as in the past they've banned the Rolling Stones from performing specific songs they found too explicit for the Chinese fans.
