Having hinted and marketed last Thursday's Grey's Anatomy as a potential spin-off for Kate Walsh's Dr. Addison character, ABC (DIS) was able to draw a large crowd with the two-hour special to lead it to its second win in the May sweeps with a 7.3 rating/20 share among the 18-49 key demo.
"Grey's" was able to pull a 9.1/24 with weak competition. The closest competitor was the CBS (CBS-A) offering of "CSI," which finished with a 5.6/14.
CBS, which took overall second for the night won the 8 p.m. hour with their "Survivor: Fiji," which drew a 4.6/14.
NBC (GE) emerged out of their usual fourth-place finish, to third, with the majority of that attributed to "The Office," which led them to a 3.2/9 for the night.
Fox (NWS-A) finished in the fourth position with a 2.4/7, with their new game show "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" leading the way for them with a 3.1/9 draw in their slot.
