Jeff Bridges has been chosen to play the part of Graydon Carter in the film adaptation of Toby Young's book, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People."
Young based the book about the time he worked for Vanity Fair while living in New York. It talks about Vanity fair editor in chief Graydon Carter in the book, and depicts him as obsessed with gaining status and completely inept.
Playing Young in the movie will be Simon Pegg. Others starring the film will be Danny Huston, Dirsten Dunst and Gillian Anderson.
Producer Stephen Woolley commented saying, "[Bridges] brings gravitas to the part and the notion that [Carter] once would have been a rebel in his younger days. Casting Jeff as the Carter character will stop people asking all the time who got the part."
