
Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, Jimmy Iovine, announced that Justin Timerlake has partnered with him in a joint venture to launch a new record label "Tennman Records."
"Whenever you have the opportunity to get into business with someone as gifted as Justin Timberlake, you take it," commented Iovine. "We are thrilled to have his label as part of Interscope."
Timberlake will head of the new company, being named Chairman and CEO, and will base the operations in Los Angeles. Interscope Geffen A&M will be the worldwide distributor for the company. President of the new venture will be Ken Komisar, past Vice President of A&R, Sony BMG Music Entertainment.
"We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries," said Timberlake.
Timberlake has sold over 13 million copies of his first two solo albums, and has won 4 Grammy's.
