Kelly Clarkson is set to release her third album "My December" on July 24, which follows her highly successful "Breakaway," which sold 10 million around the world and 6 million in the U.S.
She aleady has her first single from "My December" in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Never Again." This isn't the first time this has happened for her as Clarkson's had other No. 1 hits such as "Breakaway," "Because of You," "Behind Hazel Eyes" and "Since U Been Gone."
Quoting an article in the L.A. Times, the press release said, "Clarkson has the moxie to rock without worrying about what anybody else thinks ... Her gift is finding the source of vitality in absolute mainstream, people-pleasing pop, which by its nature breaks stylistic rules in favor of magpie mash-ups, bold appropriations and happy accidents."
The new album is produced by Grammy winner David Kahne and all the songs on it have either been written or co-written by Clarkson.
