Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis will be the center of the new reality series "Age of Love" from NBC (GE). The show is scheduled to premiere on June 18 at 10 p.m. ET.
This show will be similar to Average Joe in that Philippoussis will be introduced to his potential suitors. The show will have a group of women called the "Kittens," who will be younger, and another group called the "Cougers" who will be older. He will be introduced to the "Cougars" first. In the beginning each group won't know of the others existence. The ages of the women will be between 21 and 48.
You can guess what happens when the "Kittens" and the "Cougars" meet, it's an all out battle for Philippoussis' affections. The field of women will be narrowed until he picks the final one.
Philippoussis describes himself as "simple guy who wants a simple girl. I am so shy. I would just really like to meet someone," said Philippoussis.
Executive producers for "Age of Love" will be Craig Armstrong (Survivor, Super Nanny), JD Roth (The Biggest Loser, Beauty and the Geek), Adam Greener (Unan1mous) and Todd A. Nelson (The Biggest Loser, Beauty and the Geek).
