With the announcement of their upcoming fall TV schedule, NBC (GE) surprised a lot of people by revealing they're going to spinoff their only new hit of the season "Heroes," with a new series called "Heroes: Origins."
The new series will have different characters who also go through tremendous changes in their lives as they realize they have extraordinary powers.
There will be six episodes in the new series. NBC is including an interactive element similar to Fox's "American Idol," where viewers will be able to choose their favorite new superhero character during the short run. Whoever is chosen will then be promoted to "Heroes" to be a regular cast member.
After taking seven weeks off, the series didn't get its full audience back so this should give a better viewer experience with a total of 30 combined episodes for fans to watch. The show will run during the "Heroes" break.
