Ozzy Osbourne is releasing his first album with new material since 2001's "Down to Earth," with the introduction of "Black Rain," which will be part of the Ozzfest celebration.
While it's probably not much of a surprize to most, this album is the first he's recorded while being sober. Osbourne said, "I thought I'd never write again without any stimulation,. But you know what? Instead of picking up the bottle I just got honest and said, 'I don't want life to go [to pieces].'"
Osbourne is colloborating again with Zakk Wylde as his lead guitarist, and who also has his own band Black Label. The duo are producing it again as the lead single from the "Black Rain" album, "I Don't Wanna Stop," is at the No. 1 spot on the R&R Rock chart for the fourth week in a row.
The Ozzfest is set to launch on July 12 in Auburn, Washington, and continues through August 30 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The show offers fans free access this time around.
Others in the show besides Osbourne will be Static-X, Behemoth, Lamb of God, Nile, Hatebreed and In This Moment, among others.
