
In the first week of its release, "Pan's Labyrinth" took top rental honors with a healthy $6.48 million in rental revenue. Among the top five, "Pan's" was the only new rental release able to crack into it. The rest were previously released rentals.
"Night at the Museum" took second for rentals earning $5.58 million for the week, bringing its overall total to $33.59 million.
The next three places were tight together as third place for the week went to "Dreamgirls" which brought in another $4.52 million. "Music and Lyrics" was just behind in fourth place taking in $4.44 million, and "Because I Said So" finished off the top five with a total for the week of $4.23 million.
The top spot for DVD sales went to "Stomp the Yard," which didn't do very well on the rental chart. Pan's Labyrinth took the second spot for sales in the week, while "Night at the Museum" dropped to third.
