
Tom Selleck, whose best known for his role of Thomas Magnum in "Magnum, P.I." will join the cast of "Las Vegas" on NBC (GE) next year.
According to the network, Selleck will play the new billionaire owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino, the central hotel in the show.
James Caan, as he announced in the past, will be leaving the show, but will make a final appearance in next season's premiere. Caan played the CEO and head of security at the casino.
Along with playing the lead in "Magnum, P.I." Selleck was the boyfriend of Courteney Cox'x character Monica in "Friends." He also played in a number of TV movies, and of his films, he best known for "3 Men and a Baby."
