
The 83-year-old Bob Barker got his last hurrah at the Daytime Emmy Awards, picking up his 18th for the top game-show host, winning it back from last year's winner, Alex Trebek.
Barker threw in a little humor about his victory, saying, "This proves that the judges had sympathy for an old man who doesn't have a job."
Genie Francis of "General Hospital" won her first Daytime Emmy for supporting actress in a drama series. She came back to the show last year as her popular Laura Spencer character, a role she's had since the age of 14. Another "General Hospital" winner was Rich Hearst, who won for supporting actor.
The daughter of Michael Landon, Jennifer Landon, won her second award in a row for younger actress in a drama series. She gave thanks to her late father.
The younger actor category award went to Bryton McClure of "The Young and the Restless," his firt Daytime Emmy award.
Maura West won her first Daytime Emmy as well, for playing Carly in "As the World Turns." She was able to win over her top competitor Kim Zimmer who has won the award four times.
The show with the most nominations was "Guiding Light," which had 17 altogether.
