
The Disney Channel (DIS) broke ratings records Friday as their premiere of "Spy Kids 3D: Game Over," along with the mega popular tween show "Hannah Montana," drew their largest numbers ever.
Together the shows brought the network to records in the largest number of viewers in a day, with a 2.5 million average. They broke the record for children 6-11 with 1.1 million viewers and with tweens also which watched in huge numbers totaling 4.2 million, said Nielsen Media Research.
For the 6-ll and 9-14 demos, Disney Channel not only won cable for the night, but was also No. 1 including the broadcast networks as well.
"Spy Kids 3D: Game Over" became the most-watched show in basic cable in the second quarter, taking in 4.8 million viewers.
