How did the Sopranos End? Is it the End?

Don't Read Further if you Taped Sopranos to Watch Later.

The finale to Sopranos finished like it ran throughout its eight years, giving fans the opportunity to almost create their own ending as everything was pretty much left up to the imagination as to the number of different scenarios that could have potentially happened.

Did the guy that came into the ice cream parlor whack 'em? What's the significance of Meadow having trouble parking her car? What about when Tony looked as she was coming toward the door and the screen went black?

I bet more than one person groaned or screamed at about that time, hoping that the scene would come back and they could see the conclusion. Alas it was not to be. The end.

Now the aftermath of frustration and talk will go on for awhile on what the black screen means. Many will talk about it coming back in some form again. Others will write their specific thoughts on what they "know" the ending had to mean. Some will just be mad.

David Chase, the shows creator, evidently wanted to end the show with the questions that seemed to pervade the series throughout its 86-episode run. As he did throughout the series, he decided to end it as unconventually as he created it.

It seems he's letting the fans of the show end the show in their minds, as to the end or continuation of the Soprano family.

Well, after you're done being disappointed, shocked or mad, do you think this is the final end of the dysfunctional crime family?

I had to watch the repeat on E4+1 because i thought it was my tv that cut off at the end. Was well miffed! I wanted guns a blazing and a big ending for the saprano supremesy.
I think tho that the blank screen holds the answer. Tony thought it all went black when it was over and i think melody walking into the diner late took his eye off the ball. However, if there is a movie next year, he wont have been whacked or he will come out of a coma because of a near miss..watch this space as at first i was disappointed but it made me go onto the internet to see what others thought...its done its job, got us all talking about it. Brilliant show, i loved it! Even thought some of them were more 'Admas family material' than italian gangsters! Well done, loved it!

Unconventually? I think you mean unconventionally.
