When fans of Jericho heard their show was being cancelled after one season, they decided to fight to get their show back, and it looks like they will get it back soon.
The fact that CBS cancelled Jericho, makes it face some problems that will have to be solved to bring back the drama for another seven episodes during the midseason.
To begin with, the writers had already departed, and not all of them will be able to get back into the project, although several look like they will be returning.
Executive producer for the show, Carol Barbee has already been transferred to another project as well, now working on another CBS midseason drama "Swingtown."
The network confirmed that it has options on all the actors involved with the series, but there will have to be a number of changes to meet budget requirements: in other words, not all of the original characters will be returning for the shorter second season.
The show is the story of people in a town name Jericho and their lives after a number of nuclear explosions across the U.S.
Fans should be glad to hear they'll get a second chance for their show. I wonder what response there'll be if some of their favorite characters aren't part of it?

As a huge fan of the show I will not be disappointed if every co star does not return. I believe that if it is focused on a central core until a 3rd season can achieve the budget it needs the show will be successful. I believe that fans of the show have learned a hard lesson as well as CBS. For the fans if you are not a Nielsen family you must go to CBS. Com and watch the show in order to be heard. I believe CBS now sees that the Nielsen Ratings do not provide a accurate measurement of what America is really watching. 80% of everyone I know watched the show. No one I know was ok with its cancellation. Especially when you consider Jericho's time slot was going to go to another crappy reality show. The fight is far from over. DVD sales must be high. fans must tune in and spread the word that this show deserves to stay on the air for many years to come.
