
An announcement on Lucasfilm Ltd.'s Indiana Jones Web site reveals that Academy Award winning actor Jim Broadbent is the newest member of the cast.
On Monday of this week, production for the yet-to-be titled film began, which is set for release on May 22, 2008.
Broadbent won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Iris, along with a Golden Globe Award. His other films include "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," "Moulin Rouge," "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "The Crying Game."
The trio of Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford are revisiting their roles in the project, which also has added Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone, Cate Blanchett and John Hurt.
Returning as producer is Frank Marshall, while George Lucas has added Kathleen Kennedy as co-executive producer.
