The judge who was known around the country as the crying judge, in televised, tear-filled moments during the case of Anna Nicole Smith, will now be part of the growing number of judges having their own syndicated TV show.
Broward Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin, who some feel put on a great performance in the televised case, will be joining fellow Judge Joe Brown and Judge Judy as part of CBS Television Distribution (CBS-A).
Amazingly, during and after the the Anna Nicole case, the judge reportedly had over 200 inquiries from TV recruiters. The judge evidently knew exactly what he was doing and the opportunity that was before him.
Seidlin has resigned from the Florida circuit family court bench.
It looks like Seidlin will be taping either a pilot for the show, or a sales presentation on July 2-3 in Los Angeles.
With the way he manipulated the entire courtroom and entertained with humor and outrageous comments during the trial, it could actually propel him to a top spot in the crowded "judge" field. Judge Judy is the leading entertainment judge at this time.
