In the ongoing, ever-changing news of the post-jail-interview saga, the lastest is that CNN's "Larry King Live" will now get the much-hyped interview with Paris Hilton, according to a spokeswoman for the show.
"She will be on for the hour," Bridget Leininger told Reuters. "We had (filmmaker) Michael Moore originally scheduled for that time." I guess they exchanged one "sicko" for another "sicko."
All of this comes on the heels of the alleged attempt by NBC to pay Hilton $1 million for the interview, an action they dispute making. Once the possibility came out, both NBC (GE) and ABC (DIS) decided to pass on the interview knowing the scrutiny that would come with it as far as some type of subsidy for her time.
Leininger asserted that on the "Larry King Live" show, there are never payments for interviews.
If everything goes according to schedule, Hilton will be released from prison this coming Tuesday while serving half of the original 45-day sentence for violating her probation.

What could she offer of substance to a Larry King audience for an entire hour? I would imagine that his viewers are critical and tired of this celebutant news taking precedence over other more important news anyway. I'm just irritated that the producers would even feed into this stupid fray. The Paris Hilton publicity team has certainly terned this entire ordeal into a resurgence in Hilton's media attention...Talk about spin doctoring.
