Jeremy Sisto who played the part of troubled Billy Chenowith in the HBO original series Six Feet Under, will now move to a totally new role as he plays a detective in the crime drama Law & Order. Sisto appeared in the season finale of Law & Order as a defense attorney.
Sisto's new detective role is geared to replace Milena Govich, who will depart the show.
Law & Order creator Dick Wolf says, "I've watched Jeremy's career evolve and grow, and I am absolutely thrilled that he has decided to join Law & Order."
With Fred Thompson leaving his role as District attorney Arthur Branch, that will be 
another role that will need to be filled for next season. Along with Sisto joining as a new detective, it looks like there will be another detective added as well.
The series has been struggling and was only brought back when Dick Wolf agreed to cut the costs of the series. He is attempting to become the longest-running show in prime-time history, shooting for Gunsmoke's record.
