Sony Pictures TV has landed producer and filmmaker Barry Sonnenfeld in a first-look deal. Some of the movies Sonnenfeld has directed are the Addams Family, Men in Black and Get Shorty.
Sonnenfeld will work cross platforms for Sony Pictures developing programming for the broadcast, cable and digital outlets.
The upcoming ABC drama by Warner Bros. "Pushing Daisies" pilot was directed by Sonnenfeld, and now he'll also be the executive producer of the series.
ABC's comedy "Notes From the Underbelly" has Sonnenfeld as one of their principals also.
Other credits for television he's had are Maximum Bob, The Tick and Secret Agent Man.
