Miley Cyrus' new album named "Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus," opened in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, outselling her first album by a large amount.
Nielsen SoundScan says the album sold a huge 326,000 units in the United States along, surging past her debut album which also opened at No. 1, selling 281,000.
The album itself has 20 songs on two CDs. One side is the soundtrack from the TV series "Hanna Montana" and the other disc represents her first studio album.
Cyrus' feat was no small victory, as she beat out fellow female artist Kelly Clarkson, who finished No. 2 behind Cyrus with her "My December" project, which opened with 291,000 in U.S. sales.
