Trying to tap into the momentum her two #1 albums have brought her this year, Miley Cyrus let it out that there is a "Hanna Montana" movie in the works.
For those of you who may not watch the Disney Channel (DIS) on a consistent basis, "Hanna Montana" is the story about a young girl named Miley Stewart by day, who by night is a famous pop singer. Only a few of her trusted friends know her true identity in the show.
The show deals with the funny circumstances surrounding her having to adjust to the move she makes from Nashville to Malibu. It's a hit for Disney, being one of the highest rated children's show of all time. Only American Idol draws more 6 to 14-year-olds to it.
Miley is the daughter of singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, who also plays her dad in the show.
Billy Ray will be producing the film, and had these couple of hints on where he's going to take the project: "There'll be a lot of similarities [to the show], and the fact that Miley is so real, her music is real, we'll keep a lot of that realism. But I think we'll go a little further with the comedy. And it's going to be on the big screen, so we'll try to make everything look bigger."
Miley hopes her famous dad will also allow her some input, as she said, "The best idea is that I miss home. So if we could maybe film in Nashville and everyone could see our house and where we live, that we have a farm, that would be really exciting."
With her growing fame and fan base, this should be a fun project to follow and see how it performs. Her fans are extremely loyal, as her record sales show, so anything done decent will bring them all out. It should be a successful project, knowing the work that Billy Ray has produced in the past.
