Two popular Internet gossip sites have been sued by the constant friend of Lindsay Lohan, Hollywood DJ Samantha Ronson, daughter of guitar player for David Bowie - Mick Ronson.
Named in the lawsuit are perezhilton.com and celebritybabylon.com for reporting that Ronson had left drugs in a car with Lindsay Lohan, and then made money off them by letting paparazzi know where she would be and when. Jill Ishkanian, of Sunset Photo and News, who runs celebritybabylon.com wrote that Ronson was the owner of the cocaine found in Lohan's car after she had crashed it.
Ronson has filed a $20 million libel suit against the two sites. Mario Lavandeira (perez hilton) responded saying, "I think my inclusion in the lawsuit against Sunset News & Photos has no merit and was just done for publicity-seeking purposes."
Evidently Lavandeira's thoughts come from having only reproduced the story, which had originated on celebritybabylon.com. Yet he said some inflammatory comments like Ronson was "toxic" to Lohan. He added she had been selling out Lohan to the paparazzi.
In court papers filed by Ronson's attorneys, it claims that Lavandeira and Ishkanian both knew the things they were posting on their websites were false, and they still published them with "actual malice."
It's funny when you understand everybody in the industry has publicists that create various scenarios to keep their clients in the press. This is what happens when scenarios created by publicists intersect one another. It couldn't have happened to a better bunch of people.

She is not the daughter of Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson... Get it right, people!
