The killer of "My Sister Sam" actress Rebecca Schaeffer in 1989 was reportedly stabbed multiple times at the Mule Creek State Prison in California on Friday.
According to authorities, Robert John Bardo was stabbed a total of 11 times while he was going to breakfast. He has already been treated and returned to the prison after being treated at UC Davis Medical Center.
Schaeffer was shot and killed when answering the door to Bardo's knock. He had hired a private investigator to find out where Schaeffer lived, who obtained it from the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Bardo is serving a life sentence without possibility of parole. Schaeffer was 21 when she died.
