The time has come for what "Sex and the City" fans have been waiting for, as sources told E! News that New Line Cinema and HBO are partnering to bring the foursome to the big screen.
All four ladies - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall - will be back to play the roles of their characters.
Evidently the holdout by Cattrall is over after an offer by HBO to give her a series deal. She reportedly wanted as much as Parker was getting, in spite of the fact that Parker was also an executive producer.
The script for the show is being carefully guarded, and there's little hope of getting any information there unless there's a planned, promotional slip somewhere during the process.
At this time, the men in the lives of the ladies haven't been signed to be in the movie, but Chris Noth looks like he'll be back to play his character, although that's not a given yet.
The film has already been scripted by Michael Patrick King, who will also direct the movie. He'll also co-produce the project with Sarah Jessica Parker, Darrent Star and John Melfi.
Production for the project will begin early in the fall.
