The beginning of season four of GSN's High Stakes Poker will have participants ante up a minimum of $100,000 of their own money to get in the no limit game of Texas Hold' em.
Popular commentators AJ Benza and Gabe Kaplan return to call the action and give their unique perspective on what's going on in the game, which includes some of the world's top pros, along with newcomers vying for the huge pot.
HSP IV will premiere on Monday, August 27 at 9 PM, and will be aired from the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This season has been extended beyond last year's 13 episodes, to 17 for this year's competition.
This year's players, according to their press release, will include "the controversial Phil Hellmuth returning to the game after taking two seasons off, as well as the legendary Doyle Brunson, the charismatic Daniel Negreanu and 2006 WSOP champion Jamie Gold. In addition popular pros return including: Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow, Jennifer Harman, Barry Greenstein, Eli Elezra, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak, Sammy Farha, and Todd Brunson."
Similar to past years, the players will rotate during the season, appearing in different episodes.
Starting on their November 5 airing, the game will raise its stakes, as players will have to then ante up $500,000 to buy into the game. Eventually over $5 million will be on the table.
